Peak Oil

Diminishing resources are set to become some of the defining features of our changing world. One such resource is oil, a resource that modern civilisation relies upon a great deal.

According to a former BP geologist, we are already past the glory days of high oil production, with a return to such being unlikely:

“We need new production equal to a new Saudi Arabia every 3 to 4 years to maintain and grow supply… New discoveries have not matched consumption since 1986. We are drawing down on our reserves, even though reserves are apparently climbing every year. Reserves are growing due to better technology in old fields, raising the amount we can recover – but production is still falling at 4.1% p.a. [per annum].”

Peak oil production is a sign and a precursor of what humanity will have to face in the future: the challenge of living within the boundaries of the world's diminishing resources.

Peak oil production is a sign and a precursor of what humanity will have to face in the future: the challenge and necessity of living within the boundaries of the world’s diminishing resources.

The Great Waves of Change, which is a book of prophecy regarding the changes that are occurring in the world today, has this to say on the matter:

“Without sufficient petroleum, how will you run your cars, your farm machinery, your transportation system and your government? Many people have faith that there is unlimited petroleum in the world. It is a faith. It is a hope. It is a wish. It is an expectation. But they have no certainty. They have never studied the problem. They do not realise that humanity will be facing declining resources. They have faith that all of these resources are there. You just spend more money, and the resources are there. You spend more money, you get more resources – endless resources. It is never a problem really.

That is a foolish faith. If one looks at the history of humanity’s existence, it is a foolish faith. It is a fantasy. Yet many people live in this fantasy, base their lives on this fantasy, never question this fantasy and have absolute faith in this fantasy. Government leaders and leaders of commerce have absolute faith in this fantasy.

Given this, it is now time for people to ask serious questions about their lives and how they live. How many people really need a car or a motorbike in order to get around – like really need them, as an absolute necessity? In light of the changing world, this and many such questions must be asked now, while there is still time to consider such things.

Feeding the Hungry

Feeding the hungry is set to become increasingly difficult in our changing world, as this news article illustrates:

“Last week, a source leaked a draft report, drawn up by the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and due to be released next March. It’s the second of three reports, following the first that came out in September this year. Among other things, the text clearly outlines the threats climate change poses to the global food supply, citing a decrease of up to 2% each decade in yields of staple crops like maize, wheat, and rice.”

<snip>

“Climate will place limits on staple crops, and the variability of yields will also increase year to year, the IPCC concludes. The rising food prices that accompany this uncertainty will affect the world’s poorest the most, and countries in the tropics will bear the brunt of climate change. “The more vulnerable populations and countries will be affected more,” Meybeck says, emphasising an oft-repeated fact, “because they are already vulnerable and they also have fewer resources to deal with climate change.””

<snip>

“Poorer countries may bear the brunt, but that does not leave the rest of the globe immune, the IPCC finds. Major crops in temperate regions will be increasingly affected too. The scientists demonstrate that future food insecurity could in fact be a driver of entirely new ‘poverty pockets’ in upper-middle to high-income countries, and also in urban centres, as food availability becomes unpredictable and prices go up. And Meybeck points out that maize, wheat, and rice aren’t necessarily the only foods to worry about: they’re just the ones with the most data attached to them. Studies on other important crops could reveal similar trends. There are imports and exports to think about too, which lock the world’s countries—secure and insecure alike—into a giant food web.”

New Year New World

As we embark on a new year new world in 2014, we must acknowledge that we live in a rapidly changing world; a world whose life sustaining resources are slowly diminishing, a world where the human family is finding it harder and harder to live.

Changing climates, crumbling economies and increased conflict between nations over the remaining resources in the world are likely to be key events in 2014.

Secrets of Heaven - New Year New World

“Secrets of Heaven” hints at the new world coming into view in 2014.

Tribulations in the World

When I look at this troubled world, it is easy to become depressed or cynical. The tribulations in the world seem endless.

There are so many problems: hunger, poverty, incurable diseases, endless wars, hatred, bigotry, environmental destruction, slaughter of animals, abuse of children…and the list goes on and on and on…

It makes me tired writing about just a few of the world’s problems! However, there is a healthy way to look at these tribulations in the World and to develop a productive response:

Let not the tribulations in the world give you great anxiety. Let not the threats of destruction arouse your fear. Let not the injustices of this world stimulate your anger, for if they do, you are looking without Knowledge. You are seeing your own failed idealism. This is not the way of seeing, and so it is not the way of giving. You were sent to give, and your giving is intrinsic to you. You do not need to control it, for it will give of itself when you are prepared. Therefore, your service to the world at this moment is your preparation to be a contributor, and though this will not give you instant gratification for your need to give, it will pave the way for a greater service to be rendered.

Steps To Knowledge, Step 101

This perspective of being a contributor to a world in great need has been a real life changer for me.

I can honestly look at the tribulations in the world without being overwhelmed by them. I can see my place in the world without feeling insignificant. I see the world as a place of service – not a place of suffering. My life has meaning rather than disillusionment.

It won’t be easy to become a contributor, but finally, I see a pathway out of a world of despair, depression and failed idealism.

The preparation to become a contributor to fixing the tribulations in the world is the Steps to Knowledge:

Help from Beyond

Secrets of Heaven - Help from Beyond

A new book “Secrets of Heaven” hints at help from beyond for our changing world.

We are facing many problems on Earth. If you can see that there are countless worlds in the universe, with countless races, you can also see that our problems are not unique.

Many other changing worlds have gone through the same growing pains we are experiencing on Earth. The problems of exploding population, resource depletion, rapid species extinctions and endless wars are well known for a civilization at our stage of development.

And wouldn’t you know it: there are beings who have solved these problems, too. We have to fix these problems ourselves — no one is going to do it for us. But there is help from beyond.

A new book by Marshall Vian Summers, “Secrets of Heaven – Mystery Teachings of the Angels” briefly touches on this subtle help from beyond that is available if we can still the mind:

“We know how to resolve the difficulties that the world faces because we have resolved them for ourselves.” – secret 48 fromSecrets of Heaven

It’s good to know that we are not in a predicament – all is not lost. Other races have successfully crossed the chasm and made the transition to a sustained, united world that is able to negotiate a non-human universe.

Stealing from the Future

Jane Goodall, 78-year-old veteran environmental activist and scientist, is famous for her work with and on behalf of chimpanzees. Over the years she has inspired countless environmentalists with her efforts to aid a changing world. Speaking recently on the subject of climate change, Goodall said: “We’ve just been stealing, stealing, stealing from our children.” The New Message from God puts it this way:

“At this moment, people are selling their children’s future away. They are creating a nightmarish future for their children by the way that they live, what they consume, what they believe and what they assume to be true, based upon their own habits and personal preference.” –Planetary Instability (March 14, 2011)

There is a Cost to Stealing from the Future

While there is no vengeful god who will punish humanity for the foolish stealing from the future, retribution will come. Retribution will come from nature itself. To quote the New Revelation again:

“Humanity has done great harm to the world, to the natural balance, to the plants and the animals of the world. Humanity has done great harm to the life-sustaining systems of the world—blind, foolish, arrogant, destructive, unaccountable to the future and unresponsive to the consequences of the human impact. The world has been violated. And thus the world will create retribution, but it will not be God’s retribution. It will be the retribution that humanity has created for itself and the retribution born of errors. The world is a living system, a complex web of life. Break the web, and it will affect you because you are part of this web of life. You are part of the fabric of life in this world. Because you are living in the physical reality, because you depend upon the physical reality to live now, you are part of this fabric. Break the fabric, break the web, and you will have to face the consequences.” –from The  Retribution, Jan 3, 2010

Stop Stealing from the Future

We can give back and stop stealing from the World

Without a concerted effort from the human family, we will be consumed by the world stealing from the future. Humanity will either completely destroy itself, or what remains will be enslaved by an alien occupation.

Steps to Knowledge is the way to give back to the world and to help stop humanity from stealing from the future. Building one’s essential relationship with Knowledge–the deeper certainty God has placed within every person–is the most important step you can take to begin to help this world in need. You are here to help. It is no accident that you were born in this time, in this world. Build the bridge to Knowledge within you, and you will no longer be stealing from the future, but giving the greatest gift, to the whole changing world.
