There is so much corruption within the world because humanity lacks honesty. Dishonesty is part of the human condition and part of living in the physical manifest world. That is not to say that dishonesty is our true nature. It simply means that it is part of being human. “It [Dishonesty] is part of the condition of being intelligent in the physical world, where you are aware of your own motivations and vulnerability.”

I bring this to your awareness because we as a race are being dishonest with what we are seeing and feeling while living in this world. We are being dishonest with the signs the world is giving us on a larger scale and within a deeper reality. We are denying what we sense and what we feel. We are denying what we are experiencing on a regular basis. And that is the degradation of the world and each other and the destruction of our natural environment!!!

“The personal mind, unless it is guided properly, is by its very nature dishonest. It will continue to build the past, integrating all new experiences, ideas and concepts according to its past ideas in order to fortify its sense of identity. It is, therefore, inherently dishonest. It is not necessarily intentionally dishonest. It is inherently dishonest. It can become honest if it is guided by a greater power within you, which is your Knowledge.””LOOK AT NATURE AROUND YOU. Look at the tiniest creature and realize the mystery of that creature’s existence, the wonder of its physical mechanism and the truth of its total inclusion in nature as a whole. The smallest creature can express the greatest truth. The simplest thing can express the power of the universe. Does a creature that is small express life and inclusion in life any less than a creature that is great? Using this analogy, realize that the smallest activity can embody the greatest teaching. Realize that the simplest word, the most common gesture, can express the deepest feeling and emotion. Realize that the simplest thing can add to your practice and confirm the presence of Knowledge within you.” Step 331

“To be intelligent in physical life requires a spiritual emergence. Otherwise, the most intelligent creature will be the most miserable and the most self-destructive. Surely, this is born out in human relationships. Intelligence requires wisdom. Otherwise, it is dangerous and destructive and will turn against itself. To expand intelligence requires a spiritual motive, where spirituality is seen as your greater identity. If you are to have more power, you will need greater guidance. You will need larger definitions, new models and new ways of developing yourself and receiving Knowledge.”

So what does it mean to be honest with ourselves, honest with the world and what it needs and does not need and honest with one another? Does it not mean that how we develop and cultivate our own honesty determines where we find ourselves in life and what kind of world we cultivate? We are connected to everything in the world. And now because of science and technology we are finding that what we do and the choices we make are effecting the entire world in more ways than we can see. In all honesty what we do effects the world in seen and unseen ways yet the consequences of our choices are there looming over us. How can we begin to start caring for our world and the environment which gives us life and is the only environment we have. I feel the change which needs to take pace must begin with the individual for multi national companies and the banks who invest in these companies are not going to. Their only motivation is profit. Are the governments of the world seeking to serve their peoples? Or do they value profit over health and life itself. To me the answers are clear. So where do we turn to? Who do we turn to? The answers I feel is within each of us. If we begin to see and feel that the most important wealth we have now and in the future is the wealth of humanity. The wealth of relationship in recognizing that we are the only ones we can turn to for change because we are the only ones that can change from within. All the change we seek and pray for is the change that is within us wanting to express itself into the world. This change I speak of is of the Spirit and not of the personal mind. The personal mind and its fears and wants is why we are in the situations we are now. We must begin to see and feel that there is a deeper mind within us and a deeper reality we are a part of and a reality that we must begin to open for change to enter into this world. All change starts with ONE person and then spreads from there. All it takes is ONE.
