U.N. Employee Under Treatment for Ebola in France

The New York Times reports that an employee of the U.N. is currently undergoing treatment for Ebola virus in France:

France was treating a United Nations employee who contracted the Ebola virus in Sierra Leone, the health ministry said in a statement posted Sunday on its website.

The statement said the patient, who “worked in the fight against Ebola,” was transferred to a military hospital near Paris, after being evacuated “by special aircraft.”

He was placed in isolation “under high security,” it added.
